Higueronal – Costa Rica

The Solís & Cordero project is rooted in over 20 years of experience by Iván Solís and Leandra Cordero. Through their micromill, Beneficio Santa Fe, they process their own coffees while supporting small producers across the Los Santos region, blending family tradition with innovative processing.

This lot comes from Finca Higueronal, where Oscar Ureña cultivates F1 hybrid varieties, selected for their resilience and unique cup potential. Handpicked cherries undergo a 96-hour anaerobic fermentation followed by slow drying on raised beds for around 18 days, resulting in a structured and distinctive cup.

Flavour Profile

A rich and layered profile: notes of brandy and red stone fruit open with depth, accompanied by the floral sweetness of clover honey and the softness of medlar. Orange acidity adds brightness and freshness, while a malt biscuit finish delivers length and structure. A cup that rewards every sip.
